The trio see Nebbercracker with Constance's ghost for the last time before she fades away. DJ apologizes to Nebbercracker for the loss of his house and wife, but Nebbercracker thanks DJ and the kids for freeing him and Constance. That night, children in their Halloween costumes are lined up at the site of Nebbercracker's house, where DJ, Chowder and Jenny help him return the toys to their owners. Jenny's parents pick her up, and DJ and Chowder go trick-or-treating, which they previously thought they were too old for. The next morning, a Westbrook Prep student named Jenny Bennett is selling Halloween candies.

Mr. Nebbercracker, appears to be mean and heartless to anyone on his lawn, but only because he is afraid his house will attack the person. Chowder, DJ's best friend, accidentally loses his new basketball in Nebbercracker's yard. The old man flies into a fierce rage, yelling at the boy before collapsing, seeming to have suffered a heart attack, and being taken away in an ambulance. In the evening, DJ gets phone calls from Nebbercracker's house, even though nobody is there. He believes that Nebbercracker's ghost has made the house come to life. DJ overhears Bones talking about a kite which he lost to Mr. Nebbercracker when he was a small boy. When Bones leaves for home, he sees the kite which he lost long ago in the doorway of Nebbercracker's house.

The boys spend the night watching the house as they think it might move again. DJ and Chowder both think that the house is haunted by Mr. Nebbercracker's disappearance, or it is experiencing poltergeist activity. However, this containment also represents a sense of imprisonment for Constance. Being trapped within the house for years, Constance's anger and frustration grow, leading to destructive outbursts aimed at anyone who comes near the property.
Horace Nebbercracker
None of anyone aware with this, while her spirit, from the house's window, glares on unsuspecting DJ and Chowder, causes it to crack before they left. Following Constance becoming their house and attacking the neighborhood children who comes near her, he still continued protecting the children from his vengeful wife. Chowder engages the house in battle once more, while DJ and Jenny ascend a nearby crane, however, this time, Constance gets the upper hand and rips the excavator’s backhoe off, then eats the excavator. With his only weapon capable of fending off the house gone, Chowder is forced to flee. Above them, DJ and Jenny get the dynamite lit; DJ then swings on the crane and throws the dynamite down the chimney and into the furnace, blowing up the house.
The game culminates in them trying to deal with the furnace, which Jenny is initially too scared to do, but overcomes her fear with encouragement from DJ and Chowder (in the GameBoy Advance version). DJ and Jenny later meet up in the basement and decide to just get out of the house. Against his friends' protests, DJ tries to talk some sense with Nebbercracker about the truth behind his wrathful and suspicious behavior. Nebbercracker was at first angry after he has discovered the truth, but eventually relents and tell them both his and Constance's story. Jenny explains that the chandelier is the uvula, and it stimulates the gag reflex and everyone has a uvula.
He was taken away by an ambulance as his wife tries to prevent him to go away but to no avail. DJ and Chowder believed that DJ accidentally kill Nebbercracker with the hammer. The fact they wrongly believed the ambulance not having sirens meant that he died.
